They started as six best friends making comedy skits for YouTube. Now, nearly 12 years later, the comedy troupe, Dormtainment, is still creating content and making their fans smile each and every week on their YouTube channel.
Over the years, the group has struck deals with YouTube Red, Comedy Central, All Def Digital, and Kevin Hart's LOL Network. Now the Atlanta comedy team is bringing their genius to a new Black-owned streaming service, Black Oak TV.
Black Oak just launched this February, and they're starting subscriptions at $5 a month. Dormtainment is producing an original series for the platform called, “Untold Stories with Unknown People”.
The show is a "mockumentary" series satirizing eight popular documentaries. It's both bold and controversial, and ultimately a hilarious take on some of the most talked about documentaries of the past decade, including “The Last Dance,” “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich,” and “McMillions.”
