TI set to revive Russell Simmons' 'All Def Digital'

All Def Digital, a multi-platform media company founded by Russell Simmons in 2013, has been acquired by California tech startup Culture Genesis.

All Def, which ceased operations and laid off all its staff members this summer due to lack of funding, has sold all of its intellectual property, content library and social-media channels to Culture Genesis.

Culture Genesis, which was founded in 2018 by media executives Cedric Rogers and Shaun Newsum, is planning to build and release an all new All Def app. The app will be filled with old All Def programming as well as original content that will target urban multi-cultural music lovers.
